Product Description:
The VT-5041-31/3-0 is an electronic driver card produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the VT-5000 I/O Cards series. The module fits into standardized 3U subracks and supplies controlled current to proportional solenoid stages while returning diagnostic analog signals to the supervisory PLC. By converting the 24-volt control bus into finely metered output channels, it forms a key link between machine logic and hydraulic power elements in industrial presses, test rigs, and material-forming equipment.
The card operates from a nominal supply of 24 V DC, and the onboard regulators remain functional as long as the incoming voltage stays between 21 V and 35 V. Under steady conditions, it draws 0.6 A, but internal protection allows momentary demand up to 1.25 A when multiple loads switch simultaneously. Each solenoid channel can be driven with 2.5 A, enabling direct actuation of medium-sized proportional valves. A supplemental 10 mA auxiliary output is provided for sensor excitation or reference monitoring. Logic is enabled once the rack rail exceeds 12 V, preventing undefined states during power-up. Test points marked Dm2 and Iw9 provide respective amplitudes of 3.6 V and 1 V, allowing ramp and current signals to be checked without removing the board.
The card follows the 100 × 160 mm Eurocard format and occupies 7 TE of horizontal rack space, leaving clearance for adjacent modules. A brushed aluminum front plate with a height of 128.4 mm holds status LEDs and a manual potentiometer while also serving as the card’s extraction handle. Field and backplane conductors enter through a 32-pin male DIN 41612 D connector that secures the control and power lines in one connection. Pulse-width modulation is timed by a 5.4 kHz oscillator. The assembled board weighs 0.21 kg, minimizing the load placed on the card guides.
