Product Description:
The VT 5041-31/1-0 is an I/O interface card manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the VT-5000 IO Cards series. Installed in a 19-inch rack, the board supplies drive controllers with proportional signals for directional or throttle valves and returns feedback from swivel and valve position sensors. By converting 24-volt control logic into regulated coil currents, it links motion controllers to hydraulic solenoids in automated presses, plastic-molding machines, and similar industrial equipment.
The board operates from a nominal supply of 24 V DC and remains functional down to 21 V while tolerating peaks up to 35 V. Under steady demand, the electronics draw 0.6 A; when multiple outputs switch simultaneously, the requirement rises to 1.25 A. Power enters through a 32-pin male DIN 41612 type D connector that mates with backplane wiring. A front plate height of 128.4 mm aligns the module with neighboring cards, and guiding rails accommodate the 5 TE component-side width and the 1 TE conductor-side clearance. With an output-stage resistance of 2 Ω, each channel limits dissipation during fault conditions. The total mass is only 0.19 kg, minimizing strain on the card guides. Swivel sensor feedback is processed at an amplitude of 1 V, whereas valve-core sensors are read at 3.6 V, keeping signal levels within the card’s internal reference range.
Actuation capacity reaches 2.5 A per solenoid, providing sufficient headroom for high-force pilot valves. The internal oscillator clocks control loops at 5.4 kHz, enabling fast dither and reducing static friction in hydraulic stages. The low-resistance paths to the coils help limit thermal losses even at peak current. The board follows a Eurocard outline of 100 × 160 mm, allowing the module to slide into a standardized VT-5000 cage without modification.
