The VT 5041/3 is an input/output interface card produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for installation in the VT-5000 I/O Cards series. As a plug-in module, it fits into a standardized 19-inch rack to relay sensor signals and drive proportional solenoids inside automated hydraulic or motion control systems. The card conditions low-level feedback and supplies load current, allowing PLCs or higher-level controllers to manage valve positions, pressure transducers, or limit switches without extensive discrete wiring.
The board follows the Eurocard format and measures 100 × 160 mm. The card occupies 7 TE of rack width, so it fits directly beside adjoining Rexroth motion cards without leaving unnecessary gaps. All field and backplane connections are made through a 32-pin male multipoint header built to the DIN 41612 Design D pattern, ensuring mechanical alignment with standard rack connectors. Internal signal processing monitors a Dm2 channel that reaches 3.6 V, while a separate Iw9 path operates at 1 V for linear feedback scaling. A square-wave generator operating at 5.4 kHz shapes the pulse-width modulated drive that the output stage delivers to the connected valve coils. Each channel can supply as much as 2.5 A of solenoid current without exceeding thermal limits, allowing the module to actuate high-force proportional valves directly. Even with the optional LED display installed, the assembly weighs only 0.21 kg, which reduces the load placed on the card guide during installation and handling.
