Product Description:
The VT 5041-25/3 is an I/O interface card developed by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the VT-5000 I/O Cards series. Installed in rack-based hydraulic controllers, it adds command and feedback channels that drive proportional valve solenoids and collect return signals in presses, molding machines, and other automated stations. The board follows the Eurocard footprint, so additional channel capacity can be added by plugging it into an existing backplane without altering cabinet wiring.
Normal operating power is supplied from a system bus at 24 V DC, a level aligned with the logic rails of most Rexroth amplifiers. At this voltage, the module draws a rated current of 0.6 A, which helps keep enclosure power requirements moderate. Timing is governed by an internal clock set to 5.4 kHz; this frequency determines the resolution of the pulse-width-modulated drive signals used for solenoid control. Field connections terminate on a DIN 41612 Design D plug, matching the 32-pin multipoint layout common to VT-5000 racks. Each output channel can source up to 2.5 A of solenoid current, permitting direct actuation of NG6 proportional valves without an external booster stage. The board also has a 21 V undervoltage threshold and accommodates a startup peak of 1.25 A, helping it operate through expected supply fluctuations.
The Eurocard has overall dimensions of 100 × 160 mm and a front plate that rises 128.4 mm above the rack rail. The output driver presents only 2 Ω of resistance, so most of the bus voltage is delivered to the valve coil while internal heat remains low. Command currents are sensed across a burden of 100 Ω, which suits analog controllers that source 20 mA. The electronics tolerate transients up to 35 V, providing headroom above the normal operating voltage. A conductor path width of 1 TE allows the module to occupy a single slot. The fixed Dm2 and Iw9 signal amplitudes provide consistent reference levels for closed-loop hydraulic positioning.
