Product Description:
The VT 5041-25/1 is an I/O controller card manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the VT-5000 I/O Cards series. Installed in modular electronics racks, the card conditions control signals and delivers regulated power to field devices, allowing programmable controllers to actuate hydraulic or pneumatic components without extensive point-to-point wiring. It fits standard Eurocard hardware, supporting secure rack installation and consistent electrical interfacing across multiple machine sections and coordinated motion sequences in industrial automation lines.
The board uses a stabilized supply of 24 V DC and draws a nominal current of 0.6 A while waveform generation, status LEDs, and interface logic are active. When multiple channels switch simultaneously, demand can rise to a peak of 1.25 A, so the cabinet power rails must accommodate this load. An enable line must reach 12 V before the outputs activate, and the onboard socket presents 2 kΩ to that control signal to limit source loading. A crystal-controlled oscillator runs at 5.4 kHz, producing the carrier that shapes the Dm2 waveform at 3.6 V and the Iw9 reference at 1 V used for solenoid energizing. All process and auxiliary lines terminate through a 32-pin DIN 41612 D backplane connector, so the card can be inserted or removed without disturbing individual screw terminals.
The Eurocard measures 100 × 160 mm, has a front plate height of 128.4 mm, and occupies 1 TE on the mounting rail. This format permits dense stacking of multiple function cards in a 19-inch subrack. The power stage can deliver up to 2.5 A of controlled current to a solenoid coil with a resistance of 2 Ω, allowing full displacement while keeping winding temperatures within safe limits. For overvoltage protection, the output circuitry is clamped at an upper threshold of 35 V. Undervoltage lockout engages when the supply falls below 21 V, preventing partial magnetization and unintended motion.
