Product Description:
The VT 5041-23/3-0V is an input-output control card produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the VT-5000 I/O Cards series. Mounted in a 19-inch rack alongside proportional valve electronics, the board conditions sensor feedback and drives hydraulic solenoids, allowing PLCs to regulate pressure and flow without discrete wiring. By translating low-level command signals into controlled current for armature coils, it forms an integral part of closed-loop motion and process automation systems.
The card draws a nominal 24 VDC from the machine supply, and its operating range extends from 21 V to 35 V, enabling stable operation in installations with moderate bus ripple. Under those conditions, it draws 0.6 A, so the upstream power module must provide sufficient current. Internal circuitry is protected by a time-delay fuse rated at 1.6 A T; the slow-blow characteristic prevents nuisance trips during inrush. A dedicated ±15 V rail, maintained within ±3%, supplies the analog stages. The driver channel provides a 10 V amplitude and can source up to 2.5 A for a solenoid coil with a resistance of 2 Ω. Total board demand is 35 VA, which must be considered when planning cabinet power distribution and heat dissipation.
The plug-in format follows the Eurocard outline of 100 × 160 mm and occupies 50.5 mm of front-panel width, so two cards can share a single 6U slot with adequate airflow. All field and backplane connections terminate on a DIN 41612 Form D male header, providing a centralized electrical interface for the rack. The board has a mass of 0.21 kg, minimizing stress on the card guides in high-vibration enclosures. Position feedback is accepted from a valve sensor with ±0.6 mm of travel and a pump sensor with ±4 mm of travel. These input ranges match the analog conditioning network, allowing the amplifier to read the full sensor stroke without recalibration.
