The VT 5035-17b is an analog input-output card supplied by Bosch Rexroth Indramat as part of the VT-5000 IO Cards series. Installed in Rexroth hydraulic controllers, the module conditions command signals, excites position transducers, and drives proportional valve coils, forming a compact interface between PLC logic and onboard hydraulics. Its Eurocard format permits direct insertion into 19-inch racks, letting machine builders add closed-loop positioning and solenoid control without extra wiring boards.
The card occupies a standard 100 × 160 mm slot and connects through a DIN 41612 32-pole, form D header for quick backplane access. Four differential command channels accept up to ±9 V, and the same stabilized voltage is supplied through two reference outputs with a tolerance of ±1% for external sensors. An internal clock operating at 2.5 kHz drives the pulse-width modulator that controls the valve stages. Each position driver can supply 30 mA. The position transducer return is rated for an additional 30 mA at 5 V per output. Continuous input power remains below 50 VA, and the total current drawn from the rack supply is limited to 2 A. To protect downstream electronics, the board integrates a regulated reference supply, maintains oscillator stability under load, and resists noise through its short backplane traces.
The module accepts a supply range of 22 to 35 V, and a built-in 2.5 A slow-blow fuse opens before excessive current damages the board traces. The coil outputs can energize proportional solenoids that have a resistance of 5.4 Ω at 20 °C and accept 1.8 A with a tolerance of ±20%. The relay driver works with a 2,150 Ω load, switches on at 16.8 V, and drops out at 2.4 V to provide predictable hysteresis. The operating temperature ranges from 0 °C to 50 °C. The card has a mass of 0.15 kg, minimizing the load on the Eurocard guides while allowing sufficient copper for thermal dissipation.
