Product Description:
The VT 5007 S13 is an input-output interface card produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the VT-5000 I/O Cards series. Installed in rack-based hydraulic controllers, the board conditions valve, relay, and transducer signals so the host PLC can coordinate pressure or position loops. By translating low-level sensor outputs and driving low-power coils, the card streamlines wiring between electronic controls and proportional hydraulic components. Its signal-handling functions allow the controller to manage sensor inputs and actuator commands through one compact board.
During operation, the board accepts a nominal supply of 24 VDC and remains functional up to the 35 V upper limit established for mobile power systems. Its control logic becomes active as soon as the enable terminal exceeds 8.5 V, ensuring predictable startup sequencing. A crystal oscillator centered at 2.5 kHz with a tolerance of ±10% provides timing for the pulse-width modulators that deliver proportional valve currents. Internal regulators derive ±9 V rails with a 1% tolerance for sensor electronics. A programmed ramp generator provides a 5 s acceleration or deceleration slope across each of the five preset ramp channels. The card can issue 5 V reference signals to two-wire transducers and support a continuous load of 30 mA per output. These reference outputs allow compatible sensors to operate without separate external excitation connections.
The printed circuit measures 100 × 160 mm, fits standard Eurocard guide rails, and weighs 0.15 kg, so it adds minimal mass to control drawers. Output stages drive proportional solenoids at up to 1.8 A with a tolerance of ±20% and are matched to a 5.4 Ω winding to maintain predictable copper loss. Supply protection is provided by a 2.5 A T time-lag fuse, which helps prevent damage during short-circuit events. Relay actuation uses a 2150 Ω coil that pulls in when its response node receives 16.8 V. The compact Eurocard format allows the board to slide into compatible rack guides while keeping its electrical connections aligned with the controller backplane.
