The VT-5007 S11 is an input-output interface card in the VT-5000 IO Cards series from Bosch Rexroth Indramat. Installed in a 19-inch rack, it connects the control processor to field devices used with hydraulic or electromechanical actuators in automated machinery. The card scales command voltages, energizes relays, and supplies sensor power, allowing several control functions to operate through one rack-mounted module.
Four analog command channels are rated at ±9 V, while a separate fifth channel accepts ±10 V. These ranges allow the controller to issue precise setpoints for proportional valves without requiring external attenuators. The card operates from a nominal 24 VDC supply and remains functional across an input range of 22 V to 35 V. Field wiring terminates on a 32-pin DIN 41612 Form D connector, which provides an organized connection between the card and the rack backplane. Input power passes through a 2.5 A time-delay fuse that opens during sustained overloads to protect the card and associated wiring. Five selectable ramp times smooth abrupt setpoint changes and help reduce pressure shocks in hydraulic circuits. The internal relay coil has a resistance of 2,150 ohms and pulls in when the response voltage reaches 16.8 V. It drops out when the voltage falls to 2.4 V, supporting predictable state changes during supply interruptions or brownouts.
The sensor driver provides a 5 V signal amplitude and can source up to 30 mA for typical LVDTs or potentiometric feedback devices. A clock source operating at 2.5 kHz feeds the ramp generator, helping the card maintain consistent timing as operating temperatures change. The output stage can supply a proportional solenoid with 1.8 A of continuous current, allowing the card to operate the actuator without an external booster stage. The connected field coil has a resistance of 5.4 ohms, which matches the current-driving capability of the output circuit. Command processing, relay control, sensor excitation, and solenoid actuation are handled directly by the card within the rack-based control system.
