The VT 5007-17B is an I/O driver card in the VT-5000 I/O Cards series manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat. Installed in a Eurocard rack, it conditions control signals for proportional solenoid valves and other low-level loads in industrial hydraulic controllers. The card receives a DC supply from the main power bus, generates internal reference voltages, and feeds a regulated output to connected actuators while occupying a single Eurocard slot. This arrangement allows the card to interface low-power control electronics with loads that require regulated current.
The electronics operate from a nominal supply of 24 VDC, and total power draw remains below 50 VA even when the solenoid winding receives its rated current of 1.8 A ±20 %. A signal oscillator operating at 2.5 kHz ±10 % produces a symmetrical driver waveform with an amplitude stabilized at 5 V. The downstream circuit can source up to 30 mA without distortion. Coil energization is matched to hydraulic valve dynamics through a measured solenoid resistance of 5.4 Ω, while overall board current consumption remains below 2 A. Protective limits include an enable input that accepts logic levels above 8.5 V and a circuit that clamps supply excursions at the upper limit of 35 V.
