The VT 5006 S13 is an input/output driver card produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the VT-5000 IO Cards series. The Eurocard design allows quick insertion into a 19-inch control rack, where the board distributes switched power to hydraulic valve solenoids and status relays under PLC direction. By combining digital enable lines with onboard current drivers, the module converts low-energy control signals into the higher currents and voltages required by field coils, establishing a dependable interface layer in automated fluid-power systems.
The card follows the Eurocard format, so its outline measures 100 × 160 mm, and it connects to a motherboard backplane through a 32-pin DIN 41612 Form D connector. All onboard logic is powered by a nominal 24 V DC supply. A quartz oscillator running at 2.5 kHz clocks the pulse-width generator that drives proportional channels. Under full load, the assembly draws up to 50 VA, a value used when sizing cabinet power supplies. Each driver stage produces a 5 V output for TTL interfacing and recognizes enable levels of 8.5 V as active and 6.5 V as inactive, preventing false switching caused by line noise.

For circuit protection, the board is fitted with a time-delay fuse rated at 2.5 A T. An onboard linear converter creates ±9 V reference rails that supply analog feedback circuitry. The relay coil has a resistance of 2,150 Ω, responds at 16.8 V, and releases when the voltage falls to 2.4 V. These operating levels help prevent relay chatter and support positive actuation.
