Installed on a Eurocard frame, it serves as a driver interface that translates analog command signals into controlled current for proportional solenoids and transducers used in hydraulic control loops on industrial machinery. The board occupies a compact footprint of 100 × 160 mm, allowing it to fit standard 3U rack slots and conserve space within compatible control cabinets.
The board is supplied from a nominal 24 VDC source. A rear-edge 32-pin male multipoint connector conforming to DIN 41612 Form D routes power, command inputs, and feedback signals to the backplane. Internally, the card’s oscillator runs at 2.5 kHz ±10%; this switching frequency shapes the pulse-width-modulated output that energizes the valve coils. That output can reach a peak of 1.8 A ±20%, enabling the card to drive medium-sized proportional solenoids directly. Command channels 1 through 4 accept ±9 V signals, while channel 5 accepts ±10 V signals to accommodate common PLC analog outputs. A driver amplitude of 5 V is provided for differential pressure transducers, and the 30 mA transducer load rating helps prevent sensor overload.
The regulation stage maintains an internal reference of ±9 V ±1%, while a 2.5 A T fuse provides supply-side protection. The output stages are enabled only when the control line exceeds a threshold of 8.5 V, adding a hardware interlock to the software command path. Valve coils with a resistance of 5.4 Ω at 20 °C are matched to the available current range, while a relay coil resistance of 2,150 Ω minimizes loading on the control circuit. Voltage supervision shuts down the card when the supply falls below 22 V or rises above 35 V, protecting the electronics against brownout and overvoltage conditions. The regulated rails help maintain stable oscillator operation while the supply remains within the permitted voltage range.
