The VT 3024 S34 is a plug-in analog amplifier card developed by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for proportional valve control within the VT 3000 Analog Amplifiers series. The board is installed in a 32-pin DIN rack, where it conditions command signals for hydraulic servo loops. It delivers regulated current to a single solenoid, allowing PLCs to actuate flow or pressure without discrete power stages.
The module operates from a nominal supply of 24 VDC (+60%/-5%), permitting cabinet buses that fluctuate between the lower limit of 22 V and the upper limit of 39 V. Internally, it derives a controlled ±9 V rail with 1% accuracy for reference circuitry, while a biasing current of 20 mA within ±25% centers the spool at zero command. Differential inputs accept ±10 V with an input resistance of 100 kΩ, and a separate ±6 V command track is available for reduced-stroke applications. The fuse on the card is rated at 2.5 A T to isolate downstream faults, and load current for auxiliary electronics is limited to 50 mA. The output stage uses a switching frequency of 170 Hz with a tolerance of ±10% to modulate the power transistor, providing smooth dither to the connected valve without audible chatter.
