The VT 3000 S 3X is an analog amplifier card developed by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the VT 3000 Analog Amplifiers series. Installed in proportional valve control loops, the module translates low-level command voltages from a PLC or manual potentiometer into regulated coil current for hydraulic solenoids, giving closed-loop modulation of flow or pressure in industrial automation. It fits a 19-inch rack slot and operates from a 24 VDC plant bus, acting as the intermediate stage between control electronics and field actuators.

Command processing is handled through several isolated inputs. Channels 1–4 accept differential signals up to ±9 V, while channel 5 is limited to ±6 V and channel 6 allows a differential span of ±10 V. The sixth channel offers a high input impedance of 100 kΩ so that external signal generators are lightly loaded, and the overall circuitry never sees less than 500 Ω. All lines arrive on a 32-pin DIN 41612 Form D connector that mates with standardized backplanes. The amplifier draws a maximum of 1 A from the plant supply and runs from a regulated 24 VDC rail, remaining functional between 22 V and 39 V because of the wide internal DC/DC range. Continuous internal dissipation is 30 W, keeping thermal rise moderate in ventilated cabinets.

On the output side, the card delivers coil current from 20 mA up to 800 mA, a span suitable for most Rexroth proportional valves. It can drive loads whose cold resistance does not exceed 19.5 Ω without saturating the power stage. Surge protection relies on a time-lag 2.5 A miniature fuse housed in a 5 mm × 20 mm carrier. Apparent power to the valve and internal converters peaks at 50 VA, remaining within the plant supply envelope that may vary by ±10 %. With a mass of 0.15 kg, the card imposes little mechanical load on rack guides and remains easy to handle during installation.
