The VT 3000 S 34-R5 analog amplifier module is built by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for use within the VT 3000 Analog Amplifiers series. As a plug-in controller, it converts low-level command voltages into regulated coil currents that drive proportional hydraulic valves, allowing motion sections of an automation cell to follow analog references from a PLC. The card receives setpoints, conditions them through internal electronics, and sends the resulting power-stage output to a valve solenoid, providing closed-loop adjustment without digital conversion.

The board operates from a single 24 VDC ±10% supply and can draw 30 W at full load, so the cabinet rail must cover that margin. Internally, the generator delivers up to 800 mA, which is compatible with coils down to 19.5 Ω, and a 2.5 A fuse clears faults before traces overheat. Command inputs enter through a differential pair that tolerates ±9 V and presents a load of at least 500 Ω, while a second channel reads up to 10 V for fine trimming. A test header maps output current to 1 mV per 1 mA for quick measurement, and four front potentiometers set zero, span, and ramp while six relay contacts provide enable and alarm signaling to the host control system.

During normal operation, the amplifier maintains a baseline bias of 20 mA so valves remain centered against spring forces before process commands arrive. An auxiliary channel accepts a secondary setpoint of ±6 V that can overlay the main reference for remote override. Temperature sensitivity is limited to 0.5‰/K, supporting consistent response as machinery warms from startup to steady state, and the card's mass of 0.15 kg helps it reach thermal equilibrium quickly inside a crowded rack.
