Bosch Rexroth Indramat produces the VT 3000-3X-ES-E61-A204-U177 as part of its VT 3000 Analog Amplifiers series. This plug-in card is an analog amplifier that translates low-level command voltages into regulated current for proportional valves and other actuators used in industrial automation. By mounting in a Eurocard rack, the module provides a compact way to add closed-loop control of hydraulic or electromagnetic devices without extra power stages.

The amplifier draws its operating power from a supply of 24 VDC ±10%, and its internal circuitry never exceeds a consumption of 30 W, so cabinet heat buildup remains limited. Control signals enter through two ranges: a differential input of 10 V for standard command loops and an auxiliary channel that accepts ±6 V, while a dedicated control input of ±9 V overrides the main path during test or emergency modes. The separate control paths support normal setpoint operation and independent intervention when required by the application. Output current is regulated up to 800 mA, with a minimum bias of 20 mA that keeps the connected coil from fully de-energizing. All terminations sit on a 32-pin Eurocard format, and the front edge hosts four input potentiometers plus four LED indicators for gain adjustment and status display.

Protection and feedback functions are contained on the same board. A miniature fuse rated at 2.5 A in a 5 mm × 20 mm holder disconnects the supply if a short occurs, and six on-board relays route enable and fault signals to the supervisory controller. The power stage can drive coils up to 19.5 Ω, and the signal input side will not be damaged by source impedances down to 500 Ω. Pulse-width modulation, identified as PWM, holds the commanded current while reducing power loss in the output stage. This arrangement keeps protection, switching, and current regulation on the same card, reducing the need for separate interface components.
