The VT 3000 3X analog amplifier is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the VT 3000 Analog Amplifiers series. It slides into a standard Eurocard rack and interfaces with external sensors through front test sockets for convenient signal measurement at the card face. Designed for industrial hydraulic applications, the card converts low-level command voltages into controlled coil currents that drive proportional valves and maintain stable actuator motion. The module forms part of closed-loop circuits where precise current regulation is required for stable pressure or flow control.

The amplifier operates from a regulated supply of 24 VDC ±10%, and its electronics draw up to 30 W during full-scale operation. The power stage can deliver a maximum of 800 mA to valve coils whose total resistance is limited to 19.5 Ω, while current can be reduced to 20 mA for fine positioning tasks. A minimum input load of 500 Ω prevents excessive draw on upstream signal sources. Thermal stability is assisted by a temperature drift of 0.5 ‰/K, so gain changes remain minimal across normal cabinet temperatures. For loads at the specified 19.5 Ω limit, the driver reaches its rated output without additional heat sinks or external ballast components.

The control stage presets a bias of 20 mA, allowing the valve spool to center smoothly before command signals are applied. Differential reference inputs up to ±9 V provide the full modulation range without saturating the driver. Circuit protection is handled by a plug-in glass fuse rated at 2.5 A and measuring 5 mm × 20 mm, which isolates the board from shorted loads. On the cabinet front, the faceplate occupies 8 divisions of rack width, enabling dense mounting beside other motion-control cards. The board’s mass is only 0.15 kg, so it adds very little mechanical load to the rack during installation and service.
