The VM300 is a dedicated power supply module produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the VM Amplifier Drives series. Installed in a multi-axis drive rack, it converts and distributes low-voltage control power required by the other amplifier cards. By providing regulated logic supply and common reference returns, the module helps the associated servo drives boot and communicate reliably in industrial automation cabinets. It occupies one slot at the extreme left or right of the rack and mates with the rack connector through a keyed interface to prevent misalignment during installation or service.
The module is identified as a Power Supply Module, which distinguishes it from amplifier and control cards in the same enclosure. Its front edge carries 7 front interface pins that route service signals to field wiring blocks, making access easier without removing the rack cover. Internally, the regulated control power leaves the board through the rack connection and is available again at terminal strip X4:3,4, where the positive feed can support external sensors or relays. Operating energy is stabilized at 24 V, and this level is shared with the VE auxiliary rail so diagnostic circuits remain on the same potential. This arrangement supports orderly cabinet wiring and keeps the control supply centralized within the rack structure.
