The VEP30.3DKN-256NN-MAD-128-CG-FW is an embedded operator terminal produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and classified under the VEP Embedded Terminals series. The terminal uses an 8.4 in (213 mm) TFT panel that produces a graphical workspace at 800 x 600 pixels, allowing compact yet legible visualization of alarm lists, trend curves, and parameter pages. An integrated Intel ULV Celeron 600 MHz processor executes the Windows CE .NET 4.2 runtime, supporting ActiveX controls and fieldbus drivers without an external PC. System memory consists of 256 MB of RAM, which is enough for multitasking visualization projects and local data buffering. Power is supplied at 24 V DC, and the electronics draw up to 1.5 A; this limits heat dissipation to 36 W, so natural-convection mounting inside shallow panels is possible. In addition to the touchscreen, three discrete buttons and a single emergency-stop pushbutton give direct access to frequently used machine functions. Communication with higher-level controllers is handled through one 1 x RJ45 10/100 Base-T Ethernet port, an RS-232 serial connector, and two USB 2.0 receptacles for service tools or recipe transfer. The aluminum front complies with IP65 while the overall enclosure meets IP54, so dust ingress and water splashes are tolerated on the production floor provided the supplied sealing gasket is used.
