Product Description:
The VEP30.1CCU-064NN-G3D-064-EC-FW embedded terminal is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat as part of the VEP Embedded Terminals series. This panel-mount unit combines a touch display, processor, and communication ports in a single housing for use as a human-machine interface on production lines and assembly cells. By merging visualization, local data processing, and network links, the product provides operators with direct access to machine states and allows controllers to relay status information without separate PCs.
For visualization, the device uses an 8.4 in TFT panel driven at 800 x 600 px. This resolution offers full-screen display of standard SCADA objects without scaling. The CPU is a fanless NS-Geode 300 MHz processor that runs Windows CE .NET 4.2, giving deterministic multitasking for soft-PLC runtimes. System resources include 64 MB RAM for application execution and a 64 MB CompactFlash card for persistent storage, and an external CompactFlash base is provided when additional recipes or logs are required. Four megabytes of shared graphics memory handle frame buffering for the display. During operation, the terminal draws up to 60 W, and the integrated short-time UPS maintains volatile data during brief supply drops.
Power is supplied at 24 VDC, a level common to control cabinets. The aluminum front carries a sealed gasket that meets IP65, so sprayed water or dust cannot reach the display, while the rear section is classified IP20 for internal environments. Ethernet connectivity is provided through 2 x RJ45 sockets that allow separate machine and supervisory networks, and removable media or service tools can be attached through 2 x Type A USB ports. Because no dedicated fieldbus interface is included, any bus traffic must be bridged through the operating system's Ethernet stack.
