The VDP40.2DFN-G4-PS-NN is an operator panel produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the VDP IndraControl Panels series. It functions as a human-machine interface, allowing machine operators to send commands and view process data directly on the production floor. A resistive touch layer covers its 15-inch screen so menus and keys appear on the same surface, eliminating separate hardware pushbuttons and reducing cabinet cutouts. The flat front also makes the interface easier to clean and keeps onscreen controls close to status readouts during routine operation.
The display area measures 15 in diagonally and renders graphics at 1024 x 768 px, which is adequate for multi-window diagnostic views. Color fidelity reaches 256,000 colors on the TFT panel, giving clear status icons and alarm shades.
