The VDP40.2DEN-G5-NN-NN operator panel is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and belongs to the VDP IndraControl Panels series. This 15-inch human-machine interface replaces mechanical pushbuttons with a projected-capacitive touch surface, allowing operators to start, stop, and monitor automated equipment directly at the machine. Integrated graphics hardware renders process data and alarms so that the controller logic can be supervised without a separate PC. This arrangement keeps interaction and status display on the same front panel, which helps simplify machine-side operation.

The panel presents graphics on a 1024 × 768 px active-matrix screen that measures 381 mm (15 in) diagonally. Color depth reaches 256,000 shades, which supports detailed SCADA objects and trend lines. A TFT backlight maintains uniform brightness across the surface, and the touch sensor recognizes standard industrial gloves. Front sealing is rated IP65, which helps block dust and low-pressure water jets when the front is mounted correctly. The electronics run from a 24 V DC supply and draw up to 2 A during peak backlight demand, and each USB channel is limited to 500 mA so connected devices do not overload the internal regulator.
