The VDP40.2DEN-G4-NN-NN operator panel is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the VDP IndraControl Panels series. It functions as a machine-mounted human-machine interface, handling visualization, parameter entry, and command execution for PLC-based automation cells. By combining a graphical display, integrated touch input, and an industrial housing, the unit allows operators to manage motion sequences, diagnose faults, and adjust process variables directly at the equipment. The interface is intended for local machine operation where visual status and touch-based control are required at the point of use.

To operate, the panel requires a supply of 24 V DC. At this voltage, its electronics draw up to 36 W, with steady-state current limited to 2 A. The active-matrix screen measures 381 mm (15″) diagonally and renders graphics at 1024 × 768 px, while the G4 interface carries video from the host controller without local scaling. A resistive touch layer is included, so commands can be entered through direct screen contact.
