Bosch Rexroth Indramat manufactures the VDP40.1BEN-G4-NN-NN operator panel as part of the VDP IndraControl Panels series. The unit functions as a human-machine interface that lets operators issue commands, view alarms, and review process graphics directly at the production line. A 15-inch TFT screen, capacitive touch sensing, and a 25-pin Gigastar link are integrated so the panel can exchange video and control data with the host controller while the front face remains sealed on the manufacturing floor. This arrangement keeps display, touch input, and controller communication in one compact front-mounted assembly.

The panel runs from a 24 VDC supply and its logic and backlight draw up to 2 A, a level suited to low-voltage control buses. The active-matrix display presents 256,000 colors across a 381 mm (15 in) diagonal, and the native 1024 × 768 px resolution keeps vector graphics and diagnostic text clear at typical viewing distances. USB connectivity is available for 3 downstream devices, and each port is limited to 500 mA to protect the onboard regulator. Data, video, and touchscreen coordinates move through the single Gigastar connector, and the front width of 407 mm with a height of 370 mm fits standard console openings.

The aluminum front bezel achieves IP65 ingress protection, blocking dust and low-pressure water jets during routine cleaning. Internal assemblies tolerate shocks up to 15 g, preserving calibration when doors close abruptly or during transport. Cabinet depth is limited to 68.4 mm, allowing installation in slim swing arms while leaving room for cable routing behind the mounting surface. Reliable function is specified up to 2000 m altitude, and operation above that height requires additional derating. The cooling path and component spacing are matched to the high-color display so thermal loads remain within the enclosure limits.
