The VDP21.3GCN-D1-NN-NN operator panel is a human-machine interface produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the VDP IndraControl Panels series. It displays machine status and accepts user input through a projected-capacitive glass surface, serving as the central access point for motion, safety, and process parameters in automated cells. The unit combines display electronics, a touch sensor, and a sealed aluminum front frame so it can be mounted directly on swing arms or cabinet doors in assembly, packaging, or material-handling lines.

The panel renders graphics at a native resolution of 1920 x 1080, eliminating the need for scaling and preserving pixel accuracy. An ample diagonal of 54.6 cm (21.5") provides space for complex dashboards and alarm lists. The backlit TFT display offers fast response and wide viewing angles, while its palette supports 16 million colors for clear differentiation of process states. Because the screen follows the Widescreen aspect ratio, SCADA toolbars and trend windows fit side by side, and multi-touch operation enables pinch-to-zoom or two-finger acknowledgments for ergonomic interaction.

The front panel has IP65 ingress protection against dust and water jets, whereas the rear housing remains IP20 to facilitate convection cooling inside the cabinet. Internal electronics draw only 36 W from a regulated 24 V DC source, so the panel can share the low-voltage bus with PLC I/O. A weight of 7.4 kg keeps loads within the capacity of standard mounting arms. Two USB ports allow recipe import or the connection of a service keyboard, and a single CDI link provides high-speed communication to Rexroth controllers.
