The VDP21.3GCN-D1-NN-CH is an operator interface panel manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the VDP IndraControl Panels series. It serves as the human-machine interface in automated lines, allowing direct visualization, diagnostics, and command entry next to the process. Its architecture combines an industrial display with integrated touch sensing so that control inputs, status feedback, and graphic process overviews are available on a single front unit. This layout lets the machine present alarms, process values, and operator screens without a separate external monitor.
The panel employs a TFT display that measures 54.6 cm (21.5"), giving ample screen real estate for multi-window SCADA layouts. A native resolution of 1920 × 1080 supports full-HD graphics, while 16 million colors render detailed trends without visible banding. The surface accepts Multi-Touch gestures, enabling zooming, swiping, and on-screen keypads instead of physical pushbuttons. During operation the electronics draw 36 W, which helps limit heat buildup inside the enclosure. Data exchange with decentralized controllers is handled through one CDI serial link, and the panel can transfer process logs or recipes through its two rear USB connectors. The wide screen is also suited to alarm lists, status views, and recipe pages shown at the same time.
A regulated supply of 24 V DC powers the backlight, capacitive sensor, and controller board so the unit can share the same SELV rail as PLC I/O. The laminated front achieves IP65 protection to seal the touchscreen against dust and water jets, whereas the rear housing maintains IP20 to allow cabinet airflow. This front and rear protection split suits cabinet-mounted use, with the touchscreen exposed to the machine side and the housing kept inside the enclosure.
