The VDP18.3GBN-D1-NN-NN is a flat-panel operator terminal manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the VDP IndraControl Panels series. Designed for machine-level visualization and command entry, it acts as the primary HMI between PLCs and the operator. Process data can be displayed and controlled directly on the front surface, while the electronics remain inside the cabinet cutout. This arrangement keeps the display accessible at the machine while the supporting hardware stays protected behind the panel opening, making it suitable for local monitoring, recipe selection, and manual control functions.
Powered by 24 V DC, the terminal fits low-voltage control cabinets without an additional power converter. A TFT panel measuring 470 mm diagonally delivers sharp images at 1366 × 768 pixels, giving enough screen area for status pages and alarm lists. The touch layer supports multi-touch input, so two-finger gestures can zoom or pan process graphics. LED backlighting is rated for 50,000 h at 25 °C, which helps reduce service interruptions during long production runs. The glass front carries a sealing level of IP65, protecting the display from dust and low-pressure water jets during washdown or tooling changeover.
Two CDI connectors presented as 2 × RJ45 sockets allow the panel to be located up to 70 m from the control system without signal repeaters, which helps when the machine layout is spread over a large area. The front is covered with thermally tempered glass, and the rear housing carries an IP20 rating to support cabinet mounting through a 473 × 315 mm cutout. External peripherals such as scanners or memory sticks can be powered through the USB cluster rated for a combined 1 A, with a per-port limit of 500 mA. The assembly offers 2 × USB Type-A connectors plus an additional dedicated front port of 1 × USB Type-A for quick access. This layout keeps fixed wiring at the rear while leaving a front connection available for removable devices.
