Bosch Rexroth Indramat builds the VDP16.3DBN-D2-NN-NN, a human-machine interface panel in the VDP IndraControl Panels series. Installed on machine fronts or cabinet doors, it provides graphical process feedback, menu navigation, and direct command entry so operators can adjust drives and PLCs without a separate computer. By housing display electronics, touch sensing, and field wiring in one enclosure, the panel reduces space demands inside automated assembly, packaging, and machining cells. Its integrated design also keeps the operating interface at the machine, where status information and control inputs are immediately accessible.
The visualization surface measures 30.5 cm (12"), giving adequate area for detailed status pages rendered at 800 x 600 pixels. A TFT module supports 256,000 colors, allowing clear display of alarms, trends, and machine graphics. All electronics run from a single 24 V DC supply, and typical power consumption is 20 W, which helps keep power requirements modest. Touch operation replaces mechanical keys, reducing wear points during regular use. Four rear USB ports accommodate service sticks or barcode readers, and an additional front USB port allows access without opening the cabinet.
