The VDP16.3AWN-D2-NN-NN operator panel is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the VDP IndraControl Panels series and serves as a human-machine interface in automated cells and production lines. Through its resistive touchscreen and integrated function keys, the panel allows parameter entry, alarm acknowledgment, and real-time process monitoring directly at the machine front end. This arrangement lets operators review process status and respond to machine events without stepping away from the installation point.

The visualization area measures 30.5 cm (12") and uses a TFT display with a resolution of 800 × 600 pixels, providing clear space for graphics and status icons. A front rating of IP65 protects the screen and keys against sprayed water and dust when the unit is mounted in a cabinet door. Control electronics are supplied from a 24 V DC source and dissipate just 20 W, which supports use on limited-capacity power loops in distributed control systems. One USB socket on the bezel supports recipe loading or keyboard attachment, and three rear USB ports allow additional peripherals. A CDI serial interface links the unit to compatible Bosch Rexroth controllers, while 1 g vibration endurance and 15 g shock resistance help maintain stable operation in moving gantries or press frames.

The housing carries an overall protection level of IP20, so the rear section must be installed inside an enclosure and fits a width of 350 mm, a depth of 46 mm, and a height of 290 mm. At only 4 kg, the panel imposes minimal load on swing arms or light-duty door panels, while its aluminum frame helps resist transport impacts without image distortion. The shallow rear section also helps the panel fit cabinet doors and other enclosed mounting positions.
