In automated cells, it serves as the centralized visualization point, replacing discrete push-buttons with a single configurable touchscreen across packaging, material handling, and machining lines.
The panel presents process data on a 12 in active-matrix TFT screen that renders at 800 x 600 px. Color depth reaches 256,000 shades, allowing clear differentiation of status symbols and trend graphs. Internal electronics run from a regulated 24 VDC field supply, and typical energy demand is limited to 20 W, helping cabinet designers size power distribution without additional converters. Because there is no integrated USB interface, program loading is done through the rear service connector or over the network. The thin-film transistor architecture minimizes motion blur during rapid screen updates, so trend plots remain legible when processes change quickly.
Front-mounted gasketing gives the display a protection class of IP65, so dust and low-pressure water jets do not enter the enclosure when it is panel-mounted. Peak input reaches 2 A during backlight startup, a figure that assists in fuse selection. Mechanical fastening uses eight 8 × 5 mm oblong holes and M4 studs; tightening these to 1.4 Nm secures the 360 mm-wide by 300 mm-high aluminum bezel without distorting the seal.
