The VCP08.2DTN-003-SR-NN-PW is an operator terminal developed by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the VCP IndraControl Terminals series. This panel combines touch input and integrated processing so that machine states, setpoints, and alarms can be displayed at the interface and forwarded to the supervising PLC. In an automation cell, it serves as the user-accessible layer between motion drives, safety devices, and the control network, allowing parameter editing and status visualization from a sealed front plate.
A RISC ARM9 processor runs the runtime environment and manages data storage held in 3 MB of application memory for screen objects and scripts. Recipes and other retained project data are stored in a non-volatile 16 MB flash module, which preserves them during power loss. Logic, backlight, and communication circuits draw only 6 W, so cabinet heat generation stays low and passive ventilation is often sufficient. The terminal operates from a control supply of 24 VDC, allowing it to share a common bus with sensors and I/O modules without extra converters. These electronic components are mounted on multilayer boards attached to an aluminum carrier that helps move heat away from temperature-sensitive parts.
Operator feedback appears on a monochrome FSTN screen with a resolution of 320 × 240 pixels. Its compact 3.8 in diagonal gives clear character definition for lists and numeric fields without requiring a large panel cutout. The bezel and gasket combination provides a front sealing class of IP65, so washdown splashes or airborne oil mist cannot reach the circuitry, while the rear remains open to convection at IP20. With overall dimensions of 205 × 155 × 55 mm, the terminal fits standard 92 mm deep enclosures and still leaves space for wiring bends.
