Bosch Rexroth manufactures the VCP05.2-BOF-PRRS-D0-P with a class I protection for safe operation with safety extra-low voltage (SELV) under DIN EN 61131. The VCP 05 operator terminal is powered with a 24 VDC Supply Voltage and has reverse polarity protection to protect the device against the wrong polarity. The small operator terminal connector is divided into two channels. The first channel is the SER1- used for communication and point-to-point or multi-point connections. This channel is operated separately from the second channel – The SER2 is used as a connection point for a logging printer or a scanner since it is not galvanically isolated. The VCP 05 can be converted into a PROFIBUS DP structure by connecting it to a PROFIBUS DP connection interface. If the small operator is used a PROFIBUS DP device, cables specified in the EN 50170 as cable type A, should be used for connections.

The VCP05.2-BOF-PRRS-D0-P is operated at favorable temperatures ranging from + 5 °C to + 45 °C. The ambient storage temperature for the VCP 05 operator should be from - 20 °C to + 60 °C with a minimum relative humidity of 5% and a maximum of 85%. The VCP 05 operator keypad is positioned under an environmental-proof polyester foil. The function keys are projected to perform assigned functions as required using programming software. The function keys can optionally be used as direct selection keys for menu control or to trigger a function in the controller.

The VCP05.2-BOF-PRRS-D0-P small operator has been developed for single or multiple-axis control tasks. The terminal operator is used in operations like Handling and assembly systems, packaging machines, machine tools, printing, and paper processing machines.
