The VCP05.2-BOF-PRRS-D0-P is an operator terminal produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the VCP IndraControl Terminals series. Designed for front-panel installation, the unit combines a graphical LCD with an embedded controller so operators can issue commands, adjust setpoints, and view alarms directly at the machine. By integrating the display, keys, and communication ports in one enclosure, it simplifies local interaction while leaving motion and logic processing to the main PLC or drive system.
It runs on a RISC ARM9 processor clocked at 200 MHz, a combination that executes visualization code and protocol stacks without external cooling. The device provides 16 MByte of Flash for system software and user pages, along with an additional 3 MByte of application memory for recipes or trend data. Graphics are shown at 160 x 80 px resolution on a transflective FSTN panel that measures 33.6 × 67.2 mm. A passive monochrome design offers five gray shades for icons and bar graphs. For factory networks, the integrated 10/100 Base-T port allows direct TCP/IP links to controllers or supervisory systems and supports project downloads as well as runtime data exchange.
Its front panel carries a sealing gasket that achieves IP65 protection, while the rear side is rated IP20 for cabinet interiors. The terminal operates from a 24 V DC supply and draws only 6 W, so heat rise inside the control box remains modest. The unit has two USB host ports for memory sticks or service adapters. Operator visibility is supported by a 90° reading angle and a backlight rated for 50,000 h half-life, which helps maintain screen readability during extended operation. The passive LCD presents static process screens without image retention while the low-power electronics maintain network connectivity.
