The VCP25.1BVN-003PB-NN-PW operator terminal is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the VCP IndraControl Terminals series. As a compact HMI, it provides machine operators with local visualization and command entry, acting as the interface between PLC-controlled processes and field devices in automated systems. It is suited to status display, alarm acknowledgment, and basic operating adjustments at the machine. The unit is designed for panel-mount installation in production lines and assembly cells, where local access is needed without a separate industrial PC.
Inside the unit, a 74 MHz 32-bit processor works with 512 KByte of static CMOS RAM and 3 MByte Flash application memory to run visualization programs and store runtime variables. The display subsystem presents graphics at 320 × 240 pixels on an STN color panel that can render 256 distinct colors, allowing simple status graphics and text to appear clearly on screen during routine operation. The unit has a connected load of 10 W, which supports fanless cabinet installation and reduces heat at the operator station. Communication with higher-level controllers is carried out over the integrated PROFIBUS DP fieldbus, while a dedicated RS232C service port (X3-SER2) permits program loading and diagnostics from a laptop. Installation parameters center on low-voltage operation from a 24 V DC supply. The aluminum front bezel measures 180 × 234 × 5 mm and fits into a 140 × 196 mm cutout that is secured by rear clamps, giving a straightforward fit in standard machine panels. When mounted, the front surface achieves IP65 protection against dust and water jets, whereas the electronics side remains at IP20 for control-cabinet use.
