The VCP11.2EDN-003-PB-NN-PW operator terminal belongs to the VCP IndraControl Terminals series produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat. Designed for industrial automation cells, this panel provides visualization, recipe handling, and user input so that motion controllers and PLCs can be adjusted directly at the machine. A compact housing combines the display, CPU, and communication ports, allowing the unit to mount on a cabinet door while exposing only the front membrane to the plant environment. Because the display, processor, and interfaces are integrated into one panel, separate HMI hardware is not required at the operator station.
Its processing core is a RISC ARM9 that runs at 200 MHz, which provides enough processing speed for graphical updates and protocol handling. Control programs and historical data are stored in 3 MB of application memory and backed by 16 MB of flash so configurations remain available after a power loss. The 3.8-inch FSTN monochrome LCD shows five gray levels at a native resolution of 320 × 240 pixels. The display measures 3.8 in diagonally and remains legible from an 80° viewing angle. Input is captured by an analog resistive four-wire touchscreen, which accepts presses from gloved hands. The touchscreen also supports direct menu navigation and setpoint entry during routine operation.
The polyester front carries a protection rating of IP65, while the rear side is limited to IP20 because it sits inside the enclosure. Worst-case demand on the power supply is only 6 W, and the electronics accept a regulated input of 24 V DC through a pluggable terminal block. Ethernet connectivity is available through a 10/100 Base-T port, enabling remote diagnostics without occupying the fieldbus channel. This allows service access over Ethernet while PROFIBUS remains available for machine communication. The low power draw also helps reduce heat buildup in compact control cabinets.
