The VCP08.2DTN-003-PB-NN-PW operator terminal is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the VCP IndraControl Terminals series. It serves as a compact human-machine interface that allows users to enter commands, review alarms, and monitor process data directly on the production floor. Mounted on a cabinet door or support arm, the unit links to PLC networks through its integrated PROFIBUS DP port and provides local visualization, recipe handling, and diagnostic access for a wide range of discrete or motion-control installations.

The terminal is built around an RISC ARM9 processor running at 200 MHz, a frequency sufficient for real-time screen updates and fieldbus communication. User applications are stored in 16 MByte of flash, while variable data occupies an additional 3 MByte of battery-backed application memory, which keeps project data separate from the stored operating software. Power is supplied from a control cabinet rail at 24 V DC, and the electronics draw only 6 W, so heat generation is minimal and external cooling is seldom required.
