Product Description:
The VCP02.2DRN-003-SR-01-PW, a product of Bosch Rexroth, is used as a terminal operator in machines to initiate commanded functions. The VCP 02 has a compact design with a seal running around the operator's back hence it is mounted at any position and is suitable for use with different applications like handling and assembly systems, Packaging machines, paper processing machines, and Machine tools. Operation and storage of the small operator should be in ambient temperatures ranging from 0 °C to 50 °C (Operation) and - 20 °C to + 70 °C (Transport). The terminals of the VCP 02 operator are equipped with either a field bus interface or a serial standard interface. The VCP 02 should only be used with the supplied accessories. If a component is not listed in the operator's manual, it should not be mounted or connected to the VCP 02 operator.
The VCP02.2DRN-003-SR-01-PW terminal combines multiple standard interfaces into one connector and is divided into two channels: The upload/download/logging printer/scanner (SER2) channel and the communication channel (SER1). Both channels are operated separately. The (SER1) communication channel only allows for protocol-specific use, which is suitable for establishing point to point connections in the VCP 02 operator interface. On the other hand, the (SER2) channel is used for uploads, downloads, or with a logging printer because the interface is not electrically isolated.
The front panel of the VCP02.2DRN-003-SR-01-PW operator has a short-stroke keyboard that comprises of a 3 mm aluminum plate with narrow edges and is protected by a chemical proof polyester foil at the raised key areas. A special operating system can be installed in the VCP 02 terminals by either reloading the OS or downloading a new firmware through programming software the VI Composer. This unit can be shipped globally with a one-year warranty period from Wake Industrial.
