The VCP02.2DRN-003-PB-NN-PW operator terminal comes from Bosch Rexroth Indramat and belongs to the VCP IndraControl Terminals series. Designed as a human-machine interface for machine tools, assembly systems, and material-handling lines, it replaces hard-wired pilot lamps and pushbuttons with a single programmable unit. By combining a small graphic display, tactile keys, and fieldbus connectivity, the device allows operators to start cycles, adjust setpoints, and monitor alarms directly at the enclosure door or pendant.
Its RISC ARM9 200 MHz CPU drives the runtime environment while drawing only 6 W from the 24-volt supply, so internal heat buildup is minimal. The device provides 3 MB of application memory alongside 16 MB of flash, giving enough capacity for project pages, alarms, and language tables without external cards. The monochrome FSTN display spans 7.6 cm (3") on the diagonal and renders at 160 × 80 pixels, a size suited for concise process overviews displayed in five selectable gray tones. Four membrane function keys positioned under the screen enable rapid navigation, and the optical characteristics of the FSTN panel remain stable across typical plant temperatures.
On the installation side, the front sheet is sealed to IP65, allowing the panel to sit on doors exposed to coolant mist or dust without additional gaskets. Networking options include a single 1 × Ethernet TCP/IP port for programming or SCADA links and a 1 × PROFIBUS DP-Slave interface that places the unit as a node on existing fieldbus segments. Two 2 × USB-Host receptacles permit firmware loading or data logging to removable drives without opening the cabinet. With a height of 96 mm, the enclosure fits into narrow operator stations, and at 0.5 kg it imposes little load on articulated arms or light-duty pendants.
