The VAM40.1-PB-NE-TA-TA-VB-HA-1608-NN machine operator panel made by Bosch Rexroth features keys with LED displays, spindle and feed override rotary switches, machine pushbuttons, key switches, and an E-Stop pushbutton. The panel is used with a BTV 40 machine operator terminal for manual operation of the machine as well as a selection of the operating modes. The product has 16 digital inputs and 8 digital outputs with a 24V voltage rating. It is intended for use with CNC machines that feature a PROFIBUS connection. The device is equipped with a flexible fifth module slot. The unit must neither be operated nor mounted in a faulty or damaged condition.
The panel should not be used in extremely high temperatures or when there is temperature fluctuation. The product must make use of only parts as well as accessories approved by the manufacturer. The size of the device is 407 x 169 x 102mm (W x H x D) and it weighs approximately 1.38kg. The mounting cutout has a size of 375 x 137mm (W x H). The unit has a relative humidity of 10% to 95% without condensation during storage and operation. The cables used for the connection must be equipped with strain reliefs and laid in loops. The insertion of the operator panel into its cutout should be done from the front.
