TVM1.1-050-220/300-W0/115/220 is a power supply module. It supplies DC output to connected drive units. The drive units utilized DC power from the power supply for control electronics and to power the motors. The module is part of the TVM series from Bosch Rexroth. Its rated output is 50 Amps and the DC bus voltage is 300 Volts DC. The supply requires three-phase AC input at 220 Volts AC. It also requires single phase AC input for the control electronics at 115 or 220 Volts AC. Bosch recommends 5 to 45 degrees Celsius ambient temperature for rated output. The output derates at temperatures above 45 degrees Celsius, and reaches a maximum derating value of 20% at 55 degrees Celsius. Bosch does not permit TVM module operation at temperatures in excess of 55 degrees Celsius. The output of the TVM1.1-050-220/300-W0/115/220 derates if the altitude is more than 1000 meters. The maximum derating value at 5000 meters is 35%. Bosch does not permit TVM module operation at altitudes more than 5000 meters. The IP10 rated housing of the TVM1.1-050-220/300-W0/115/220 does not provide adequate protection against dust and moisture. Therefore, for outdoor use, the module must be installed inside a suitable cabinet. The main power connections are located at the front of the module. A touch guard is provided to protect against accidental contact. The reset button and protection fuses are also located at the front of the module. The power supply module can be directly connected to three phase AC input. There is no need for a transformer when the AC input is grounded. Soft-start resistors are needed to limit the inrush current. An isolation transformer is needed when the AC input is ungrounded.
