The device accepts a 220 V AC mains supply and incorporates internal energy-dissipation circuitry, allowing a compact single-source power backbone for coordinated drive motion systems.

The power stage is fed from the application's three-phase line, while the logic section is energized by a control input of AC 115/220 V, enabling operation from either standard control voltage used in the cabinet. This separation of power and control inputs helps the module fit cabinets that use different control-voltage standards. Internally, the rectifier and smoothing network maintain a DC link of DC 300 V, which forms the common bus for connected drive inverters. Excess regenerative energy returned by the drives is handled by an integrated bleeder resistor that can absorb up to 10 kW, while the capacitor bank can store a maximum feedback energy of 14 kWs before the bleeder engages. For peripheral electronics, a dedicated controller supply delivers a regulated output current of 4 A, so connected low-voltage circuits can be powered from the same module. The assembly is housed in a ventilated enclosure with a protection rating of IP10, so it must be mounted in a closed cabinet free of conductive dust. This enclosure design allows airflow through the module while keeping accidental contact protection limited to cabinet-installed use and away from open machine exposure.
