TVM1.2-50-300-W0-220 is an industrial power supply module. It is part of the TVM product line from Bosch Rexroth. The input voltage rating is 220 Volts AC. The main power terminals are at the front of the module. A touch guard installed at the front provides protection against accidental contact with power terminals. The module provides 300 Volts DC output. Connected drive units use this DC power for motors and for the control electronics on the drives. Nominal output current of the power module is 50 Amps. Bosch has designed the module with an IP10 rated housing. As this type of housing does not provide any protection against dust or moisture, the module must be installed inside a suitable industrial cabinet. Proper spacing is essential for smooth airflow that is needed for heat dissipation. Bosch recommends at least 80 millimeters on the top and 80 millimeters on the bottom of the mounted power supply. Bosch also recommends maintaining at least 200 millimeters spacing between the top of the module and any power and signal cables. Cables should be kept at least 40 millimeters from the side of the unit. The operating temperature specified by Bosch is 5 to 45 degrees Celsius. Operating within this temperature range ensures rated output. Another requirement for rated output is 0 to 1000 meters altitude. The maximum permitted altitude with derated output is 5000 meters. The maximum permitted temperature with derated output is 55 degrees Celsius. Several accessories are available for TVM units, including autotransformers, isolation transformers, auxiliary capacitors, dynamic braking resistors and dynamic braking contactors. Due to the presence of high voltages and currents on the unit, only trained personnel should handle and operate the module.
