Product Description:
The TVM1.2-50-220/300-W0-220/380V is a power supply module manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and part of the TVM Power Supply Modules series. Installed in the drive cabinet, it rectifies three-phase input power and stabilizes a common DC bus for multiple servo drives. Auxiliary ±15 V and 24 V outputs feed control electronics, while the internal bleeder network dissipates regenerative energy returned by braking axes. By providing these voltage rails and managing returned energy, the device supports coordinated motion in industrial machine tools, packaging lines, and automated assembly stations. A shared DC bus also lets multiple connected drives draw power from one regulated source during multi-axis operation.
The incoming line requirement is 3 x 220 VAC, and this is converted to a bus voltage of 300 VDC that is distributed to connected inverter modules. Under continuous duty, the supply can deliver 15 kW while carrying a rated current of 50 A on the DC link. These values set the thermal load and conductor sizing for the installation. Cabinet ingress protection is limited to IP 10, so the unit must be mounted inside an enclosure with forced convection to keep its internal components within the 400 W power-loss limit. Ripple on the auxiliary rails is held to 2% for ±15 V and 10% for 24 V, supporting stable analog and logic performance. This arrangement allows the power section and the control circuits to operate from separate internal supply rails.
High-demand cycles are handled by a peak current capability of 150 A, allowing short acceleration bursts without triggering overcurrent trips. During braking events, the module can absorb up to 14 kWs of regenerated energy, and excess is diverted through a bleeder resistor rated for 10 kW peak and 300 W continuous dissipation. This energy routing protects the DC bus from overvoltage while keeping braking torque available to the connected drives. At elevations up to 1000 m, the supply maintains these limits as long as ambient ventilation is adequate. The internal dissipation path is useful in systems with frequent deceleration, where returned energy must be controlled on the shared bus.
