The TVM 2.4-050-220/300-W1/220/380 is a power supply module manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the TVM Power Supply Modules series. In an automation rack, it converts incoming three-phase line power into a stabilized DC bus and auxiliary logic voltages, allowing multiple drive controllers to share a common energy source and regeneration path. That arrangement supports centralized power distribution for multi-axis systems that use several servo drives on one shared bus. By supplying a regulated bus, it removes the need for individual drive rectifiers and simplifies cabinet wiring in motion-control systems.

This module accepts a three-phase input of 3 x 220 VAC and is rated for a line-side current of 50 A. Internally, it rectifies and smooths the input to a nominal bus potential of 300 VDC. From that bus, the unit can deliver continuous power up to 7.5 kW and withstand peak demands of 60 kW during acceleration or braking cycles. Electronics that supervise firing angles and diagnostics draw 550 VA when the module operates under maximum load. The bus can absorb as much as 14 kWs of regenerated energy before the bleeder activates, protecting upstream breakers. A continuous bleeder capacity of 0.45 kW manages normal overvoltage margins, while controlled resistors dissipate regenerated peaks without external choppers.

An integrated low-voltage supply delivers 24 V logic at 8 A with a ripple factor limited to 10 percent, ensuring reliable controller and sensor power. When braking energy exceeds the continuous limit, the bleeder stage can momentarily dissipate 10 kW, keeping the DC bus within safe limits. At full load, the assembly’s internal losses reach 130 W, so forced-air cabinet ventilation is recommended. Total installed mass is 15 kg, which remains practical for panel mounting. The auxiliary supply and bleeder functions are built into the same module, reducing the number of separate cabinet components.
