The TVM 2.4-050-220/300-W1/115/220V power supply module is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the TVM Power Supply Modules series. It stands between plant mains and the shared DC bus, feeding multiple servo drives and their control circuits in industrial automation lines. Its function is to rectify, filter, and supervise energy flow so that each axis receives a constant 300 V DC link while regenerated power is absorbed by onboard bleeder resistors.

On the input side, the module accepts a three-phase supply of 3 × AC 220 V within a tolerance of +15/-10 % and operates over the standard 50 to 60 Hz frequency range. A current rating of 50 A allows the rectifier to draw enough power to deliver a continuous DC output of 25 A at the nominal bus voltage of 300 V. The resulting DC link can support motion loads up to 7.5 kW continuously, while transient demands are met with a peak capability of 60 kW. Control electronics are supplied separately from either AC 115 V or 220 V taps, and thermal stability is maintained by a built-in blower that directs air across the power semiconductors and bleeder elements.

Auxiliary outputs furnish 15 V at 1.3 A for interface boards and 24 V at 8 A for contactors, and the 24 V rail is held within a 10 % ripple to protect sensitive logic. Regenerative energy from fast-decelerating axes is shunted through bleeder resistors that dissipate 0.45 kW continuously and rise to 10 kW for short intervals, while the storage system can accept up to 14 kWs of returned power without tripping. The design meets enclosure class IP10 for cabinet-mounted operation, and total mass stays at 15 kg, keeping panel loading moderate and allowing straightforward removal during maintenance. Configuration level 4 and series number 2 identify the product version, and a general voltage tolerance of ±10 % on internal rails helps preserve performance under minor supply fluctuations.
