The TVM 2.4-050-220/300-W/115/220 is a regulated power supply module manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the TVM Power Supply Modules series. It converts three-phase mains energy into a stable DC link and multiple auxiliary voltages that feed Indramat AC servo drives and their control electronics in automated machining cells, material-handling lines, and packaging equipment. Its configuration level 4 housing fits into a single rack slot and includes internal bleeder circuitry for regenerative energy management. This arrangement allows one module to support both drive power and control power within the same rack-based system.

On the line side, the module accepts AC 220 V at 50...60 Hz, allowing operation on common industrial mains with a voltage tolerance of +15/-10%. A built-in transformer rated at 7.9 kVA feeds a rectifier that produces a nominal DC 300 V link for connected servo equipment. During dynamic braking, the link can temporarily handle a 60 kW peak, allowing returned energy from decelerating axes to be absorbed without upsetting bus stability. Under continuous motion, the DC bus supplies 7.5 kW while the module delivers a steady output current of 25 A. Overcurrent protection on the mains is provided by a 6.3 A line fuse together with internal monitoring circuits.

The auxiliary section supplies control electronics with 8 A at 24 V, 1.3 A at +15 V, and 1 A at -15 V, which removes the need for separate logic power units in many cabinet layouts. A resistor network rated for 0.45 kW continuously dissipates surplus regenerative energy, and a 14 kWs storage limit helps protect the bus capacitors during short braking events. Cabinet integration is simplified because these functions are contained in a 15 kg enclosure. When system demand increases, 550 VA of control supply power remains available for relay coils, sensors, and communication interfaces.
