Product Description:
The TVM 2.2-50-W1-115V power supply module is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the TVM Power Supply Modules series. It feeds a common DC bus and auxiliary low-voltage rails to Indramat servo and spindle drives, letting multiple axes share one energy source. The module manages rectification, buffering, and controlled discharge so drive controllers receive stable power during motoring or regenerative cycles. This arrangement lets connected drives draw from one bus while returning braking energy through the same supply path.
Rated for a nominal mains input of 220 V AC, the module delivers a stabilized DC link of 300 V DC to the drive stack. Continuous output capability is governed by a type current of 50 A, and its design throughput is classified at 15 kW. Short-duration overloads up to 150 A accommodate acceleration peaks without tripping, which helps support brief demand changes in multi-axis systems. Version and configuration codes both carry the value 2, indicating internal layouts matched to second-generation drive racks. A dedicated 30 W ventilation fan moves cabinet air across the heat sink, while internal sensors coordinate with system diagnostics. The unit’s rectifier bridge and smoothing capacitors accept 14 kWs of returned kinetic energy, preventing excessive bus rise when connected axes brake.
During sustained braking, the internal bleeder converts surplus bus energy into heat, dissipating 450 W continuously and rising to 10 kW for brief intervals so external resistors are unnecessary. Aggregate thermal loss at the rated operating point is limited to 580 W, and cabinet airflow should be arranged accordingly. Separate regulated rails supply the control electronics: the 24 V line can deliver 8 A, while the ±15 V taps furnish 1.3 A on the positive side and 1.0 A on the negative side. Those auxiliary rails support the control sections used by the connected drive assembly. Operation is permitted up to 55 °C ambient when current is derated, and the open-frame construction carries an IP10 rating and a mass of 15 kg for panel mounting next to drive controllers.
