The Rexroth TVM 2.2-050-220/380-W1 is a power supply module. It is installed in Indramat AC drive systems and can supply electrical power to multiple drives. The TVM 2.2-050-220/380-W1 is designed to accept three-phase 220 Volts AC input and convert it to DC voltage for motor power and the drive control electronics. Rated current output of the supply module is 50 Amps. DC bus on the supply module is rated at 300 Volts DC. Extensive monitoring functions are available on the supply module and are communicated to the drive modules through the signal bus voltage. Ratings and loads for control voltages listed on the supply module data sheets are valid for ambient temperature lying between 5 and 45 degrees Celsius. As per Rexroth the supply module can be operated at maximum ambient temperature of 55 degrees Celsius.
Ambient temperatures exceeding 45 degrees Celsius lead to reduction in power ratings for the TVM 2.2-050-220/380-W1. A maximum derating of 20% is reached at 55 degrees Celsius. The power ratings for the module also drop if it is operated at elevations that exceed 1000 meters. It is important to note these characteristics of the power supply module and to ensure that manufacturer recommendations for ambient conditions are implemented for obtaining the full rated output. The TVM 2.2-050-220/380-W1 includes a built-in blower for aiding with the convection cooling.
