The TVM 2.2-050-220/300-WI/115/220 is a power supply module from Bosch Rexroth Indramat in the TVM Power Supply Modules series. The unit is in design series 2 and converts three-phase mains power into a stabilized DC link for connected servo drives. It also absorbs regenerative energy so the shared bus remains within its intended operating range during deceleration. Supplied in configuration 2, it supports automation systems that require controlled braking and auxiliary control voltages inside a common cabinet, and its IP 10 enclosure is intended for installation in a clean electrical compartment.

Incoming mains is rated at AC 220 V with a permissible deviation of +15% to -10%, and operation over 50-60 Hz allows connection to standard industrial networks. The internal rectifier maintains a nominal bus voltage of DC 300 V and delivers a continuous output current of 25 A. For short acceleration demands, the unit can pass up to 150 A, while the type data limits average current to 50 A and total power to 15 kW. Control electronics operate from 115 V or 220 V auxiliary inputs, and the separate 24 V logic rail supplies 8 A with 10% ripple. A positive 15 V monitor line supplies 1.3 A for sensors, and the installed fan draws 30 W to manage the module’s 580 W power loss.

Energy returned by decelerating axes is routed to an internal bleeder that dissipates 450 W continuously or up to 10 kW in short bursts without pushing the DC bus beyond its permitted voltage range. The energy storage capacitors can accept a maximum of 14 kWs per event, after which excess energy is removed through the bleeder path. Safe operation is permitted up to 55 °C, with derating required above that point, so cabinet airflow must support the module’s cooling path. The module weighs 15 kg, which should be considered when planning cabinet mounting and support.
