Product Description:
The TVM 2.2-050-220/300-W1 is a power supply module manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the TVM Power Supply Modules series. It provides the stabilized DC link and auxiliary low-voltage outputs required by Indramat drive controllers, allowing coordinated motion of several servo axes from a single cabinet supply. In multi-axis cabinets, it serves as the central supply stage that converts incoming mains power into the DC energy required by the drive system. An internal bleeder resistor and a built-in blower support regenerative braking and remove heat during operation.
The module accepts an input of AC 220 V at line frequencies of 50–60 Hz, with a mains tolerance window of +15%/–10%. Inside the converter, rectification and filtering create a nominal bus potential of DC 300 V for the connected drives. Under continuous duty, it can deliver 25 A of DC current, and it is built for short overloads up to 50 A. Excess kinetic energy is dissipated by an onboard resistor rated for 450 W of continuous power, while blower airflow carries the heat away. The control electronics sit inside an IP10 housing and can draw up to 8 A from the integrated 24 V supply. Because cooling is handled internally, clear airflow paths inside the cabinet are important during continuous operation. Safe operation is permitted at ambient temperatures up to 55 °C when cabinet ventilation remains unobstructed.
For rapid stops and emergency braking, the supply can furnish a peak output of 150 A for 300 ms without exceeding thermal limits. During those events, the bleeder stage withstands a momentary load of 10 kW and can absorb up to 14 kWs of feedback energy before the drives return to powered operation or coast. This supports repeated deceleration events in axes that feed energy back into the DC bus. The type power rating is 15 kW, the maximum internal loss is 580 W, and the unit mass is 15 kg.
